I see you're in SA... isn't Dutch similar to Afrikaans? (assuming you speak that)
anyway, you can always type each menu item you see, one at a time, into
babelfish for a translation to get you through to setting it to English (or whatever)
Sony Ericssons have a code you can enter to reset to default language, but I don't find one for Nokia.
I guess you could reset the whole phone using *#7780# and enter the security code, but you can't be sure that Dutch won't be the default language I guess

Yep masseur. Dutch is very similiar to Afrikaans. It shouldn't be a problem navigating a phone menu.

I think its time you visit the SA thread, a lot of Xhosanostras in there including myself. Can't you just ask a white colleague or friend to help you get the language settings right?

Don't have this phone myself, it's Symbian, right ?
In Dutch it should be something like : Menu

-> Instrumenten -> Instellingen -> Algemeen -> Displaytaal (Wijzigen) -> Invoertaal (Wijzigen) -> Engels.
Taal = language, wijzigen = change, invoertaal = language for sms and email.
I only have newer Symbians, so don't know the exact menu, but it should be like this. Dunno what languages your phone supports, maybe you want another one, not English.
