> c902 use sony ericsson battery problem

i have had a c902 for over a year now. The battery is the same one i have used from day 1. However last week it wouldnt turn on and when i try charge it a message comes on screen and says it cannot charge please use sony ericsson battery.
Im a little confused because its the same battery i have been using since i got it new.
Any ideas?

I had same problem with a new c510 the shop said it was a faulty battery. It might either be the battery is dying its old or its a software fault in which case update or reflash the firmware using SEUS. Its the Sony Ericsson Update Service from their website. I am not exactly sure what it is and why some Sony Ericsson phones do that. But its strange after a year. But it could be you might just need a new battery. Go into a shop see if they can try a different battery in your phone. Good luck.
