hey guys! been a long time since i posted.. finally ran into a confusing problem tht ive been tryin to sort out but no luck 8(...well i just got a blackberry curve for myself and i m unable to browse the internet. the browser icon doesnt show up neither do i have the service books on the device anymore cuz i wiped the handset when i gt it frm my frnd..he wasnt using the BIS neither do i want to use as im already using a prepay and the blackberry service is obviously nt offered. so is there anyway i can get it on to work without the service as on normal gprs? im using ufone in pakistan. il appreciate if anyone can help me out.. thanks!

You could try changing the APN in the settings menu, but as far as I'm aware, you'll need to use BIS.
A Blackberry is a business tool after all, not a high end feature phone.

nope didnt help! i knw there is a way i can use opera mini on it without BIS bt i just dont knw hw to set it up?

Try to go to Messages, then press Option and hit Reconcile Now.
In my case, the blackberry (BIS) icon comes back and everything is fixed. That happens when I go to pretty bad coverage areas and return to the city.
