Hey guys I was wondering if I imported an unlocked phone from europe, is there any way i can get it to work in the US?

You guys do have sim cards yet, do you? Sorry, it's a silly question, but I haven't ever seen a US phone which has a removable sim card. If you get an adaptor for your electrical outlet and use a GSM network, I think it should work.
How about customs in the US anyways? You might end up paying your ass off for just importing the phone.
I had to pay about USD50 customs and tax for importing two $20 t-shirts to Germany. Be careful, dude!

I used my phone in us without probs, but via roaming. I do not know much about us sim cards. And yes, it must support 1900Mhz. This message was posted from a T68i

customs should not be a problem as long as you enter the destination country with an unpacked "used" phone. just check if you cau use gsm back home.

all uk phones have removable sims, in 98 sims were locked to the handset, if u want a import make sure its unlocked and tri band! This message was posted from a WAP device

yeah! as long as it's unlocked and triband,
specifically, u'll need the 1900 frequency for america,
euro uses 900 and 1800.

orange spv phone is locked to orange network. will not work in america unless you find some way of unlocking it. Also you cannot install any applications that have not been certiffied by orange

be sure the phone isnt simlocked and its a triband phone 1900MHz network. at least thats what i thought, that you need a tri band phone in the states.
