Thanks everyone. Let me know how it works.
@spoon, you can PM me with your email if you want
@Raven, Nothing fancy.. I just got the hang of it today because the SDK is so messed up, and I can't get anything done in C++ which is a shame. I'll start of with a scientific calculator since the p800 doesn't have one (right?) and move on to more complicated things.

@fijbert, the test worked, thanks anyway, pm me your e-mail if you want to test the release version when it's done
@mk5808775, you're talking about three things here.. 1-using the camera, which is impossible because

didn't release the api's for it, and probably never will. 2-converting a scanned text into characters which is fairly complicated and I have no idea how to do in Pjava if possible at all.. and 3-translating text from one language to another which is doable and maybe something I could look into.
Forget about 1.
2 might happen if good Symbian programmer is willing to spend a lot of time on this idea.
And regarding 3, does anyone want a dictionary/translator (no OCR) on the p800?

No API for the cam... drat! :-/ Oh well, was just an idea. You could use still images, shot with the camera, though...
Yeah, OCR is extremely complicated, but if there might be an open source java application around, it might be portable someday.
Hmm... dictionaries are pretty useful. Especially if you don't wanna carry a whole bunch of books around when yer on vacation.
BTW, I'd like to be a tester, too! As soon as I get my P800.
