> change k850 for Lg KU 990 viewty?
Bookmark topic
i got an offer from my friend,he want's to give me Lg Viewty for my k850.
I love my k850,but i'm considering the bigger screen,120fps video recording,it can play DivX....and the Quality of the materials that it's made of...
But can someone tell me,help me,the camera is it worth it?That seems to be the breakingpoint of my decision.
thank's in advance

I would normally stick with the Sony Ericsson but the K850i is a poor model anyway. If it were me i would go for the Viewty. It can take good pics i used to have one you just gotta tweak about with the settings. There is nothing wrong with the touch screen. Video yes is good. Some bad points. The Viewty has poor battery life and i mean poor. It only holds upto 2 giga byte cards and when it fills up it becomes very slow. Otherwise its a nice phone. It also does not pick up signals too good. LG phones have hugely improved since then in every way. So there is the good and bad points. In the photos section on this site you can see some of the photos taken by the phone.

Thank's Bonovox,i saw the samples with the k850 & Viewty,i'm staying with my k850. I need to take my pictures fast, and that's when the k850 kick's in,a moment ago i tried a Viewty, man is that thing slow, just to change from picture to video mode takes him 6-7 sec. But, i still liked that phone very much,it's got some charm, the screen work's excelent, the camera quality is good, but not quite good as on the k850,nevertheless the Lg is a very good phone, but still when it comes to using the camera,k850 kick's ass, with k850 in many times, day or night you just point & shoot, while with the Lg you have to wait for the perfect condition, flash isn't that good.

Yes newer LG phones are ten times better in every way. The worst slow point in the Viewty is when the memory card fills up it slows to a crawl browsing pics. They made mistakes with that phone the software was not upto coping with the features.

The problem with LG is that they never even tried to fix the Viewty's shortcomings with a firmware upgrade. I have one, its a good phone that broke new ground when it came out. Lg phones tend to be more limited in multitasking btw. I can listen to the radio or podcasts while browsing even on the T700. Not on the Viewty alas & I hear that even some of the newer LG phones have the same limitation.

Not sure of their high end phones i am sure they do have multi tasking. But the Cookie is very poor you simply cannot do 2 things at once at all. I had a Cookie for a short while hated it. I know its cheap but when on that phone you exit an application or even the camera you have to press exit or back button. If you press the hang up key when exiting the camera and then start up something else it comes up on screen CONFLICT WITH CAMERA. So you have to go back into it exit it properly then open the new application. Very poor for a company with such high end tech.

Your probably best to stick with your K850. Viewty was good for its time, but seeing the new models from LG wouldnt make me even consider it!

Viewty is just stylish.
Camera performance of the K850i is very good.
