> Help with Wi-Fi on my W715
Bookmark topic
I just bought a W715. It has Wi-Fi which I have no experiance with. I have connected it to my WLAN at home but even though it's connected and the signal i strong, I cannot access the internet og my e-mail on the W715. It works fine using 3G. What to do?

I'm having the same issue with my G705; good wifi connection but it keeps trying to access the internet via 3G.

What happens if you turn off your 3G and set the phone to GSM only?
Also, have you tried powering off the phone and taking the battery out for a few seconds, and then turning it on again?

Then it tries to connect via GRPS or EDGE.

No... I'll have to try that tomorrow, I'm not near my Uni wifi ATM and I have my 3G wifi router shut down at present.

Try Settings>connectivity>internet settings>allow local connection

Have you tried to turn on Auto Connect? Perhaps that could fix it?

Hmmm... it's working okay with home wifi, I wonder if it's an issue only with Uni wifi, which has a login splash page?
I've had a range of issues with Uni wifi from not being able to use Opera webmail to DNS server problems.
Thanks everyone for your advice!
