I just got a w705 from a 2nd hand shop called Cash Generators for £69 boxed but on Orange network so its branded. Its even in good condition with only 1 mark on its screen. Its a red one i shall debrand it too but i am on Orange anyway. I was just looking and i seen it and thought OH THATS MINE. I now have 3 phones which for me is a first. A Samsung Pixon 8 a Nokia 6303 and now this one. Cant upload photos right now as my pc has been returned to the shop its died on me. Anyway i am pleased with such a bargain though i know its not the most amazing phone around but its still a nice one from Sony Ericsson.

Welkom back to Though I know you never really left. I've been looking at W705 to replace my K850 for the remaining time till Aino is available. It's a nice phone that does the job. Debrand it and sell it with profit in a while.

Cheers. Yes when you have not had a Sony Ericsson for a few months you get one and think wow i really missed them. I really missed their UI and their general niceness Perhaps i shall sell it on someday and get the mark on the screen fixed too though its nothing major. Going to debrand it later as much as i love Orange network their branding sucks. And perhaps yes something exciting is coming from Sony Ericsson in the coming months i look forward with anticipation with all this new marketing stuff they are pushing out. A new direction new quality phones and better reliability. We pray.

Congrats mate. The red one is quite nice.My dads just upgraded to one from O2 to replace his K800. After using LG for nearly 5 months and decided not to get the LG crystal as I didn't like the build quality or the S class interface. I managed to get my hands on a brand new 08W45 copper bronze C905 for £150 which i'm now using. The phone has not let me down in the month i've been using it. Only gripe is the poor battery life. Also bought a 8gb sandisk ultra 2 M2 and some HPM-66's to use with the phone. Just want a DS205 now.

Yes i heard the Chrystal is not all its cracked upto be in the build quality department. Looks nice but not for me. Though the S Class interface looks nice it looks very confusing. Anyway nice one on your C905 good also thats its been reliable after what its been like when it first came out. I would love a w995 its so nice.

What put me off the crystal was first hand experience. My girlfriend came home with one that she had for her upgrade from CPW. The phone basically looks similar to the LG secret in style. The main screen is unresposive and takes at least 5 seconds to register a touch. The bottom 3 keys on the top section are also touch sensitive and are that over sensitive you dont even need to touch them The touch keypad is excellent though. Can't fault that part its extremely esponsive and accurate. I agree with the S class UI. User friendly it isn't and constantly freezes and you have to remove the battery to get it working again. Two of the complaints people had of the previous LG's were the poor media player and the long loading times when accessing the memory card. Memory card access is still the same especially when you have half filled the memory card. The media player is worse than the old version IMO and the playlist feature is still also restricted to only 100 tracks per playlist. Cameras ok though. Better than what some people have said. ATM CPW are selling the crystal for £499 sim free and P&G which is a £151 markup over what LG UK are selling it for on their website for a sim free model.
This C905 has certainly suprised me seeing as the one I got was an 08W45 model which means its one of the first few batches made. I was holding out on buying one based on the comments made in reviews etc and was going to pass on it completely until I saw this copper bronze one and at teh price it was too good to pass up. Its the colour I wanted and liked since i saw the pre release pics.
Knowing my dad he'll try the W705 and decide he doesnt like it. He had a C902 for his upgrade last year and it went straight back in its box and is still untouched in his desk drawer 13 months later and went carried on using his K800 which he's had since it came out. Hopefully this time if he doesnt like the W705 I can convince him to give it to me

Bono, congrats on getting that W705 at such a bargain! still a realy sweet phone, i bet this is going to be your main phone, you're going to forget about the LG/Samsung/whatever it is Pixon and the Nokia if its one thing that SE kills the others at its the Java platform in its "dumbphones" ,unbeatable, would rather have my problematic K850 than any LG,NOKIA or SAMSUNG "dumbphone".
By the way how many phones have you had in the past 8months lol?

Lol i forget how many phones i have had in the past number of months. I do get bored easy and like to change alot. My friends and family laugh at me saying NOT ANOTHER BLOODY PHONE. Its a shame LG cannot solve usability and freezing problems on their phones because their features and usual quality is not bad. I have had the Cookie and the Viewty and both were slow with memory cards. The w705 its nice for now until i see another bargain. I may actually sell my Nokia 6303 though that phone has been reliable with amazing battery life but its a touch dull. I do love Sony Ericsson platform the best you cant beat it. Which is a shame cos they are doing not so good right now. I seriously dont think the Chrystal is worth £500 and not when LG are selling it much less. I am seeing lately alot of Nokia Samsung and LG phones becoming so pricey and Sony Ericsson are starting to make decent budget models with good features. The C510 is a good example. I actually miss that phone now wish i had not sold it.

I get this as well altough I've calmed down on my mobile phone buying in the last 2 years. In the last 12 months I've only bought 19
I get bored easily as well. Only phones I've owned for 12 months or longer were the S700 and K800 and never found another phone as good since although I do miss my P1i

That made me laugh when you said you have calmed down your buying down to just 19 phones lol. But strangely enough the S700i and K800i were my all time fave Sony Ericsson phones too I had the K800i for ages though hated the joystick. If Sony Ericsson made another phone like the K800i without the joystick i would be happy. Not only was it a great camera the phone part was superb too. Even with a T Mobile sim on that phone i used to get the most solid reception everywhere with it. Why cant they make another phone like that with such a fab internal antenna. That was the one of few things that annoyed me about the C510 really poor signal but great phone otherwise.
