> Best way to destroy a hard drive
Bookmark topic
My old old old pc has died for the last time it finally drew its last breath and its no longer fixable. But before i got the chance to clear the hard drive the pc was already dead

Now that hard drive has loads of personal details of mine on plus lots of photos also my CV. I removed the hard drive which is made by Maxtor from the base unit but it is completely indestructable. It is solid as anything i have ever seen even the screws on it i never seen the type before i cant get inside it no matter what i do. Its so heavy and solid you can kill someone with it(plenty of politicans spring to mind

)and i dont know what to do. I dont want to throw it away as it has so much stuff on it i could not remove in time. Whats the best way? Would burning it work? Hoping it would just melt.

You have to crunch a HDD to kill it, on the floor, sledge hammer, whack it a few times, that'll kill it

Ah throw it in the sea or a lake yes good one why did i not think of all these. Guess it cant float to shore can it lol. It will eventually rust away like the Titanic

Nanu are you one of these crazy people who does mad explosions and experiments with microwaves? Blowing things up for the laugh. Sounds like fun lol

I forgot to mention, if you do put it in the microwave do it outside! but not when it is raining as that could be dangerous!!!
