I can't take it anymore!!!! When I first got my k850 a few months ago, very occasionally a song would stop playing and it would say "failed" on the screen. Now it happens A LOT. Almost with every song. It even started doing it with videos, they just start lagging, then they stop and the phone says "failed".

I have a 8GB MicroSD (not M2, remember k850i can take both), it has 2.7GB free. So yes, most of it is used, can this explain it?

EDIT: I have now deleted loads of stuff and have 4GB free. It still does it! :eyes:

What is causing this???

A problem like this may occur from damaged memory stick, firmware problem or bad file and format conversion. You can try converting your media files with another converter (if you convert them at all). If not you can try formatting the memory stick you are using. If none of these work, you can try updating/reinstalling the phone's firmware using SEUS.

I never had the Failed message with music. Did have it with some videos but that was gone the next day. I have noticed that the Micro SD speed slows down after a lot of installing and removing. Therefore I format my 4GB SD every 4 or 5 months. Don't forget to replace your paid games to the phone's memory.

May be you've got some faulty card. I'm using original SanDisk 4gig microSD since 2008 but never got any issue regarding "playback failed" msg unless the media file is not supported.

@hihihans u don't have to format the microSD in every 4 or 5 months provided you have some original card. It never slows down. Yeah if you delete files on your card very often using your pc then it is recommended to format it using your cell.

No, unfortunately not. I really hope that it is not the memory card. It is not Sandisk, it's a C-team card, it's casts th same as a Sandisk. Another theng that I have realised is that sometimes when I take photos it stops saving them. Then when I go to file manager it says no memory card inserted.

Maybe it is the card??? Is there a way to find out?

i've experienced that the music files which were saved in a sub standard (cloned/pirated) memory card have gone forever...and it happened many times
so, don't use such sub standard memory card...

I haven't experienced anything like that but just from what you've said I think it's a faulty memory card.

I have had the not saving pictures too, but that was FW related. Had it both ways, external and phone's memory, a reboot did the trick. In your case it seems like your card is not staying in its place. Because K850 can take both M2 and SD the slot is wide, try to fold a piece of paper and put it with your card back in so that it fits tight. You can do the same with your battery if you have many restarts. Worked for me. Good luck and see you 'round.
