Hi Everyone.
I'm feeling a bit nastalgic tonight while watching Tomorrow Never Die's on late night TV. This is the 007 movie featuring that oh so cool and timeless Ericsson prototype communicator style smartphone. You know the one that controlled the BMW 740iL with the built-in Tazer function?!
This thing had it all!
* Remote start which was already previously featured via a watch in the old Knight Rider tv shows; but via your phone this was slick!
* Security mode selection for your ride
* and the video display for front/rear of the car.
* and the best ... TAZER function for those willing to steal your phone!
Although this phone mainly had a style cross between mostly the Ericsson R520 (and a tad bit) the Ericsson R380, it had a first for ANY Ericsson or SonyEricsson prototype design. This was probably a stab at Nokia ... designing & flirting with the communicator type device. Yes I know, the Ericsson R380 was the FIRST communicator to the market, but I always wondered what Ericsson or SE could do if they pushed this further.
Ericsson continued with the flip-lid design but I'm curious as why they never continued the landscape concept of the original? Hmm.
With all that said ... Ericsson featured some VERY tantilizing and incredible prototype & production phones in a LOT of James Bond movies, long before the Sony partnership. I'm curious what is YOUR favorite 007 Ericsson or 007 SonyEricsson phone of choice? Also state how it appeared, for the sake of highlighting it.
small shot...
Large shot ...
cheers.

I would like to see Rachael and its UI customized to fit 007 theme with all the out of this world UI transitions and efects and an Xperia Pureness used by his leading lady (as suggested by someone) and yes, that ericsson phone is really cool even at this day in particular.

Funny you should ask, the P990, W900 and M600 were my fav in a James Bond movie. All 3 were in Casino Royale, the P990 is the device in the brief case when they 1st begin the game at the casino. W900 is used by the one rich criminal who has that classic Aston Martin, and the beautiful Crystal White M600 used by the leading lady. I havent watched Quantum of Solace yet, apparently there wasnt much anyway.

I thought i saw a p910 in the Casino Royale when he was poisoned with the drink while playing poker and it had the come-back-to-life kit.
To be honest i didn't know it was an

phone. Those days i was not bothered by mobile phones.

My fave was the c902 but they made the camera so much more sophisticated wish it was so with the way he took photos in the concert hall in Quantum of Solace

That Ericsson from 'Tomorrow Never Dies' is hard to beat, so in 2nd place I'd go for Casino Royale's limited edition K800i:
Turn by turn GPS, and wireframe 3D diagrams of hotels to track criminals... quite impressive for a K800i.
I didn't think the C902 got to do much on screenin Quantum of Solace except take some impossibly clear zoom images at night

but MI6 have certainly got a decent computer network:
