Patrick Swayze has died after a nearly two-year battle with pancreatic cancer.Swayze's publicist Annett Wolf says the 57-year-old 'Dirty Dancing' actor died on Monday with family at his side. He came forward about his illness last spring, but continued working as he underwent treatments.
It was 1987 when Swayze became a star with his performance in 'Dirty Dancing,' a coming-of-age story set in a Catskills resort in New York. The 1990 film 'Ghost' cemented his status as a screen favorite.

Oh no thats sad news. It was only a matter of time but i liked him in Ghost but hated Dirty Dancing. May he rest in peace he is now free from pain

I liked him in most of his hit films inludiing Dirty Dancing, Point Break and Ghost and then there was Roadhouse which was also quite good.
May he RIP
2009 has been a bad year first Michael Jackson then Farrah Fawcett now Patrick Swayze.

RIP indeed. my favourite film was Point Break with Keanu Reaves
btw, Keith Floyd (celebrity chef who liked to indulge in a glass of wine in his shows), and Felix Bowness (from hi-de-hi) also died yesterday

Another down
This year has not been any good for the stars. It's a bit sad for me because some friend used to call me Patrick Swayze and knowing he's dead makes me feeling kinda out of the mood.
May he rest in peace after all this he was through.

I bet even the hardest of people even had a tear in their eye at the end of Ghost. I did. But i loved Whoopi Goldberg in that film.
