hang on... P800 and T68i are different classes of phone so cannot really be compared together to decide which is 'best'. They are both 'best of class' in my opinion.

absolutely, i'm sick of p800 fanciers being smug for no reason. the p800 is just fine, but it will never replace my t68- it's the wrong size, wrong form factor, wrong type of screen, wrong everything. forget it.

You are comparing apples with oranges. The phones are of different classes. P800 is great for what it is as well as the T68i. IMO: two great phones.

Featurewise P800 is better than T68, by far.
And even if P800 wasn't out yet, I wouldn't call T68 the best. How about S55? It has all features that T68 has + java, poly, flash-cam, faster gprs...
