> Am I crazy? W995 to samsung Jet

I have the W995 for about 1 month
I loved in the beggining
But now I am bored of it! Why? because I am tired of the same SE menu since the T68!
Yes sir! I am a heavy addicted and loyal SE user and had always SE phones for 10 years( apart the N95 and 5800 that lasted 2 months each), before the W995 I had the C905 that had the identical menu and software...BORING!
I saw the Samsung Jet last day with its fabulous AMOLED and most of all 480x800 resolution of screen
Widgets seem to be very practical too
Ok it's not a smartphone but it looks like them and it's very different from SE menu,so I would not be bored again!
My cell shop proposed me 100$ for swapping with my W995
Shall I go for it?
PS: I will get the SAtio when it will be at a reasonable price,means not before January

Trust me you will get bored of the Jet and fast. Not to mention your going from one of the best phones out there to one of the meh phones right now just cause of OLED and a new menu system. Oled for me while its a power saver is useless.

The samsung Jet got some nice grades of 9/10 and 10/10 and bad grades of 7/10 in other reviews.
The W995 has the same kind of mixed grades,so the Jet is not a meh phone.
So for the menus its the choice of having an internal logical menu (SE) that didnt change for years vs a fun external menu thanks to widgets (Samsung released a SDK for widgets) but no themes! Which one is more boring?

I find the Samsung one a bit boring. I owned a DJ and believe me I found the A200 a godsend when I reused it. Sure its because I basically modded everything but so what it was just that better. And I thought he said star not Jet so that's why I said meh. Yeah the Jet is fine.

why not think about going for the sam i8910 but getting back on theme my mate has got a jet and he was a se man through and through but he was board with the same os and he has not stoped going on about his jet !!,,, he is will happy 5 months down the road !

Its whatever makes you happy at the end of the day. Samsung imo make quality phones with amazing quality features and i bet the screen resolution looks amazing compared to your old phone but the one thing i detest about Samsung is its menus. Whilst yes i can work them quite well simple tasks like sending a text is not such fun. Very annoying menus that i don't like. But i still think they are great just not their menus compared to Sony Ericsson. But nice one bet the Jet is nice and enjoy it have fun.

The Samsung Omnia HD is a Satio before the Satio, but here too the main problem is the price

Considering that the Jet carries smartphone type hardware: 800mhz CPU with graphics acceleration, 720x480 @ 30fps vid recording and playback, 8GB mem ALREADY BUILT IN and a mem card slot, TV-Out, DNSe Audio, 480x800 screen resolution, Web browser that supports Flash content,support for Xvid DivX etc. . .playback and a great new UI. If it also has multitasking then its a great upgrade from a W995. It makes the SE look totaly outdated, the W995 seems to be the "meh" device here, especialy if you are bored with the UI that hasnt changed much in years, although i dont mind, i prefer SE UI over Samsungs, but i gota give credit where its due, the Jet has loads more to offer,and will smoke the lil W995 at most Multimedia: Video recording, playback, format support, gaming etc. . . Id say go for Jet
