> Looking for the P1i successor
Bookmark topic
I'm starting to think about my next phone after using the P1i for almost a year and a half,
but nothing comes to my mind that has the same nice keyboard + touch screen + scroller + UIQ... (on the side)
The IPhone is amazing but not for me... lacking the keyboard,
Blackberry is to big but mybe i'll try it..
what are your thoughts in this matter?

You mean successor, right? Something to replace P1i? Yeah, I've been looking to replace mine too. SE is not producing anything based on P1i. I don't think X1 is successor for P1i cuz of the OS and slider form. Nokia E55 was close except no touchscreen and it didn't make it to Production (at least I was told). I almost considered iPhone and Blackberry Storm. Both has nice design except they're full touchscreen and no video call function (correct me if I'm wrong). Till now I still can't find anything.
I don't think it would have any successor.

As far as I know the P series are cancelled. UIQ as a platform too. So you can consider the Satio (Idou) or the new XPERIA a p1 successor.

I've had my P1i for a year now and almost bought the samsung omnia i900 as a replacement, but i've decided to wait for the Nokia N900, I feel it's a worthy upgrade to the P1i. N900 = qwerty keyboard, gps, better camera, bigger display, 3.5 mm audio jack, maemo OS!!

The N900 is also for me an alternative,my only problem with nokia is that all their phones look like they are made from recycled plastic, very cheap looking.
