Yes I just seen this on Orange WAP page. Good news its finally on another network

More choice for customers although I hope the network dont start getting congested like O2. But Orange have great 3G coverage. Are they going to ruin it with branding or will Apple not allow that?

Excellent news. A bit of healthy competition!
Hopefully I can upgrade without to much expenditure being a loyal Orange customer for years.

Good news for a lot of people.
Hopefully they don't go over the top with the Branding!

Its not only better news for consumers but also Orange network is very reliable fast and robust. I rarely have problems with Orange at all except customer service in India not understanding you. The iphone may be a challenge for Orange customer service though. I am thinking though Apple surely wont let Orange over brand it and they should know customers wont like it. Interesting to compare tariffs and data tariffs on offer. Looks as though it will be on pay as you go too. I personally dont want one but its something new and fresh to see it on another network.

They should put it on the back at least. Next to the Apple logo should be Orange its all fruity

I am wondering though with this coming to Orange and then T Mobile and Orange merging wont this make Orange way too big? It might turn out alot of people moving away from O2 so O2 loses out then Orange gets too big.

Does this mean us existing Orange users can look forward to 'throttled' 3g & data speeds? & generally a slower network with the prospect of limited choice of further handsets other than the iphone now?

Orange have already had the iPhone for some time in other countries and not branded it in any way, so I don't see why they would in the UK, especially when they're going up directly against unbranded O2 phones. I doubt Apple would ever allow it, I'm pretty sure it's a precondition of any and every carriage agreement they strike.
I've no particular problem with O2 and not much of a fan of Orange, but if this helps to bring down the 3GS pricing a little then I'm all for it. It's almost certainly good news for my upgrade next year.

I am worried about data slowing down on Orange with the iphone coming. At the moment I get good speeds on Orange. I think perhaps the way Apple software is it would probably not make the iphone work very well with branding anyway. Lets hope it is cheaper too.
