Hey all
So my precious s.e k850 is away for repair to s.e. Its been stable for such a long time with occasional reboots which I don't mind and it also having the latest software.

However then it all of a sudden started to switch off on me, the screen did, the keypad remained lit, and then it would briefly show the screen and then the screen would go again but the keypad would remain lit. This is not a BROD by the way. Restarting the phone only allows me to see the screen for a few seconds then it goes off again. Also when deleting sms from my phone it seems to be taking ages.

So called s.e who said to me to send it in to them. I also asked for a quote on a new housing as i have some marks coming off the paint work. They said it will take up to 5 working days. So just wait and see now.

I am using my work iphone right now, and gosh do i miss my k850. I miss the buttons

Anyway thought I share my story about my k850. I know i am one of the few remaining fans who are trying to keep the k850i memory alive.

The k850 feels like a proper phone. Hope u get ur one soon. I just don't like slide phones. Always been a fan of candy bar phones.

Have a friend who had the same problem with his K850, the backlight died and it was sent off for a new screen. He also had occasional reboots which he didn't bother.

Me 2. I have always loved the candybar phones... Also every phone i had was candybar... About the K850, I have played with several of them... 2 of them did BROD on me, but fixed by SEUS and a2 uploader (by flashing)...
