> What can iPAQ do that P800 can't?

Hi!
I am wondering what to buy... I know this is not the first thread for that, here... I've checked them all, but I never saw clearly stated: What are the advantages of iPAQs compared to P800?
Also, could anyone here with P800- please, post some pics made with high quality with P800... I've checked the picture gallery of P800 on esato, but I'd like to see more pics made with P800...

It will all boils that in what u need: ipaq will provide you a lot of expansion options, BT, WIFI and even Dialup. Good screen quality for your MP4s, support for WMA audio files. But then again, P800 is a all-in-one device.

The Major difference is that ipaq is a PDA device while P800 is a smart phone with PDA functions. i.e. with ipaq you can run any pocket PC application such as spread sheet and word processing (pocket MS-Excel, MS-Word) while in P800 you only can view these documents.

p800 is aint a smartphone! it aint running ms pocketpc os. it runs on symbian. lack of supported software. even the expansion is lacking! too bad! i'm sticking with my iPAQ t68i combo.

How can I use itnernet on my iPAQ? I need the T68i, right? And if yes, what are the ways to connect my T68i to the iPAQ? Bluetooth, Infrared, cable? Which of them is possible?

first of all... to fault the P800 for lack of software is just dumb. I'd rather take Symbian over Microsh*t anyday!
If 3rd party software is the way you rate a device, then ALL PocketPCs suck compared to Palm.
Anyway... like it was stated above, it all depends on what you need. I have a T68i + PDA combo before I switched to the P800. I'm really happy with it. Now I don't need to lug around 2 devices... I'm ahppy cuz it's what I needed.
Another point of consideration is battery life... no Pocket PC can give you more than 6 hours of contiuous use. Unless you slap on a huge external battery. Sony Clies can give you 8-10 hours. The P800 can last about 24 hours with heavy PDA use.
If I was to go with a PDA+T68i combo, I wouldn't get an iPaq or any PPC... I'd go for the Palm TT or the Sony NX70 or newer NZ90.
The Palm is the smallest among the new PDAs and it also has BT builtin. The NX70 has a small video cam already, but no BT yet... you will have to get the Sony BT Memstick... NZ90 has it all.. BT, Wifi, IR, video cam,and 2Megapixel cam w/ flash.
So it really depends on how you intend to use your devices...and how deep your pockets go.

you can use bluetooth or IR, whichever is convenient with you. i prefer bluetooth though. no strings attached!!! full connectivity options. you can even send gifs, jpeg, ringtones, to and from the ipaq. connection to the internet via dial-up or gprs works like a charm.
