> Is Cyberdefender a good ani-virus program?
Bookmark topic
So this is a question I have. Does anyone have any input about Cyberdefender? I know they are a NASDAQ company, but is is a good anti-virus program?
It seems I picked up a few viruses this past month, I guess from cruising these sites. So, even though I have Norton anti-virus and AVG both on my system, I guess it didn't matter. They were installed by someone else so I don't really know much about them. So, now I am looking myself at some of the different anti-virus programs. Since the free stuff doesn't seem to work, I figure I'm just going to pay for it now. I'm seeing some good reviews on Cyberdefender and PC Tools.
I liked Cyberdefender cause it seems to be a more complete package, covering anti-virus, trojans, spyware, id theft protection, however PC Tools, has a nice user interface and gets good reviews as well.
So can anyone tell me about these?

Well, i use AVG free edition (for 3 years now) and i have no problems with viruses whatsoever, AVG has a paid version which covers pretty much everything you mention about other paid solutions.
I did a quick check via google and found this about Cyberdefender:
http://stopbadware.org/report[....]splay?reportname=cyberdefender
http://blog.stopbadware.org/2[....]emoved-from-active-alerts-list
The second link is newer, the first one seems to be about an early version.

Go for Kaspersky if you are going to pay. Used McAfee then changed to Kaspersky last year and am extremely happy. No issues at all.

I use NOD32 and so do many people. It's the lightest, fastest and most reliable antivirus I've ever used.

I thought AVG was good until I installed Avast and found that AVG failed to detect 8 different infections
