I asked SE support above question their respone was:

"You can only use MH-100 for listening to Ainos radio as the MH100 has a builtin antenna !"

I have a problem to believe a FM antenna can work over BT so is it just so that the MH100 just "tells" Aino there is a HF connected? Does this make sense?

cheers xatnep

Well its like this. When you change stations in the Aino, The Aino sends information to the headset about the channel selected and the headset automatically searches through the frequencies and delivers the channel selected. The Mh-100 is cpable since it consists of an inbuilt antenna, without which it is not possible.

The MH100 consists of an antenna which accepts fm signals.

sorry to me it does not look logical.
If you can hear the radio on bluetooth in means that the handset has an antenna build in,thats what i think.
it will be strange and i do not know if it is possible to send and FM signal of a station by bluetooth ,too complicated if you compare it to building an antenna in the handset.

Okay two questions? Has anyone tried these out, mainly, the radio function? If so how well does it work.

Second, I read this article which states that they will be shipping with the Aino, any truth to that?

It would be interesting if you could test MH100 with another Sony Ericsson, to check if radio capability is dependant of the accesory or the phone

I paried the MH100 to my K810, all HF functions like change track in playlist, start/stop, volume etc workedfine, but no radio access.

That's bad, it would be a very interesting accesory (BT A2DP with controls, 3.5mm jack and radio built in) if radio will work with other phones. Maybe C905, W995 or Satio could be compatible with the radio function??

The MH100 has it's own tuner build in, the phone does'nt stream anything it just controls the tuner of the headset with the classical tuner interface. That's why it only works with the aino and not previous phones.
