Hi Everyone.
I've just got a Mac, and older model (still OS X) and have done a search here for anything related to SE phones and using the Mac. Although there are results, its sporadic and limited. I know there are OS X users out there [arien617, QVGA, nicv27, fatreg, etc] that own & use their Mac along with SE phones - so I'll need their help as well for us newbies.
Last night while doing laundry I accidently washed my daughters nokia s40 phone, so its an opportunity to get another

phone (Z520/W810) for her. Thus I figured this thread will help.
I'm hoping we can all contribute to all things SE feature phones, Symbian, WM6.5, and upcoming Android support on our Mac's in the following sections:
* Sync (iSync, Entourage:Mac - upcoming Outlook for Mac, Lotus Notes, etc)
* iCal (again for Sync but also possibly for support from MobileMe & online based calendar/PIM)
* Applications (installation, packaging, sending/receiving to and from the phone via: BT,wlan, usb, or irda)
* Configuration (mods really, but also possibility of loading the core OS on your favorite

phone of choice)
* SDK (for all you aspiring coders! I know Qt is compatible to run on the Mac OS X for Satio/Symbian coding - but what about the A1/A2/Android and WM devices that SE makes??)
I figured I'd start with what I've just searched:
MediaSync (for W760) exists for OS X here:
http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]ed/mediasync/w760a?lc=en&cc=ca
With Media Sync you can easily sync your music and podcasts from iTunes to your phone.
You can either select which playlists you would like to sync with the phone or simply drag & drop content from iTunes.
I've found the iSync pluging (W760):
http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]ricssonisync/w760a?lc=en&cc=ca
The Sony Ericsson iSync plugins enables you to synchronize contacts, events and tasks between your Sony Ericsson mobile phone and an Apple computer.
Requirements
Tiger: Mac OS 10.4.9 - 10.4.11 (corresponding to iSync 2.4 version)
Snow Leopard: Mac OS 10.5.1 - 10.5.6 (corresponding to iSync 3.0 - 3.0.2 version)
Bluetooth
- i'm unsure if its a limited support for feature phones only.
PS: I'm aware that the Intel-based Macs (or HackIntosh's) can have Windows installed via BootCamp, Parallel's Desktop, or VMWare Virtualization - but this is not the point. Many of us may not be that adept (yet) and doing this or don't have Intel-based Macs to support the virtualization software: I'm on TiBook G4 667Mhz currently.

It's about nothing but using Sony Ericsson phones with a Mac
