im planning to buy a phone not sure to choose aino or satio... thinking of buying the satio but i scared the touch screen is not that sensitive and the sound quality produced by the speaker is not that good..
Can any1 explain this to me:
1. Hows the sensitivity of the touch screen?? is it better than 5800??
2. Hows the sound quality produce by the speaker?? Is it satisfying??
3. Aino or Satio worth the buck as Aino got capacitive touch, good sound quality but not full gps

1. You can say Satio is not bad in touch screen but there is more room to improve and I think Sony will do that in coming firmware upgrades. Otherwise, it is quite good.
2. Aino is more focused on media player while Satio is more focused on camera. Its similar to earlier K and W models.
3. I think Sation also has capacitive touch. But it all depends on what you really want. Like for me, I wanted high capacity camera with xenon flash and gps and wifi.. along with basics.. all there; so I went for satio. but upto you again.

1. Kinda better, but mostly on same levels. Basically satio has a better processor (600 mhz, i think), 5800 has a 330 or something. So the transitions and screens look smooth, gives a false better touch feel. I presume since the o/s is same touch type/interface should be same
2. Satio has a mono speaker, but surprisingly sound from speaker is good.
3. Between Aino or Satio, i suggest satio. Definately worth the buck. I had a crappy n97 and wasted my money on it. Sold it off the day satio came. 3.5" screen, video playback at 4mb bit rate (hd quality), and the traditional se media interface which is way better than the nokia's s60 5th edition galleries. If you are looking for a high end multi media device go for it. Only dis-advantage i find is lack of Keyboard, have to get used to the typing on full screen touch qwerty.

I just got a new Sation and it's got this very neat screen protective film, if I peel it off will the touchscreen become more sensitive/responsive or should I keep it?

I still have my original protector on too and would be interested in peoples response.
Does taking it off improve the clarity of the screen, been temped to peep but then I dont think it would re-stick.

my advice is based on pure "product trial":
1 - sensitivity definitely better than 5800 - not magnetic scrolling though
2 - sound quality is OK. no bells and whistles like the W995
3 - get the Satio. the Aino is a phone with schizophrenic problems (conditional touch screen - remote functionality with a PS3??!!)

I would agree with this:
" 3 - get the Satio. the Aino is a phone with schizophrenic problems (conditional touch screen - remote functionality with a PS3??!!) "
It is good phone, but compared to Satio, it's nothing.
But after all, it depends on your taste and what are you looking for.

It would be good if we could compare it with an iphone touch screen. That one is very sensitive.
