Hi, just today I found that the centre button on my C510 does not work.
All the other buttons are working, and the button has not fallen off or anything. It just isn't responding at all when I press it. This is the main button that opens the menu's and selects everything so if it's knackered I'm pretty stuffed eh.
I was wondering if this was a common fault on the C510's, or is it just mine? And also if anyone else has had this problem and managed to fix it?
All help is appreciated
Thanks

Hi
This is not common. I've had mine since august 31st and there has not been any problem with the buttons. Do you still have warranty?

Try turning the phone on and off to see if that corrects it (just a thought as I had a T700 where certain buttons would suddenly be unresponsive but a quick off and on sorted it out). If that fails try reinstalling the software. If that also doesn't work then replace the top keypad membrane. Not hard to do on candybar phones if you've got the right tools. If its under warranty then send it in for repair.

How long have you had the phone? Is it still within 30 day faulty exchange? If so you should be able to change it for another one depending where you got it.

I don't think this is a common problem since I had mine since 2nd of July and I even dropped mine a few times but I never experienced a problem with it... I'm pretty sure sending it to SE service will fix it..

Hi
This has just happened to my phone today. The middle button has just decided to stop working and so has my number 5! How annoying!
Carphone Warehouse charges £45 minimum to fix it so it is debatable whether it is worth fixing or just getting a new phone as i only paid about £100 for this phone.
