I'm new here, also new to mobile phones ( I know where have I been ), anyway the phone came with a 8 gig M2 card which i've put some music on in fact about 4 gigs worth all with id3 tags and all in different folders pop music, classical, orchestral, then I loaded card back into phone, and woila there they was in all there glory with all the id3 tags that I gave them, but the folders are not there so they are all mixed up, it would be no problem to format the card and start again, but how do I keep them in the confines of a folder, or doesn't this phone support folders, or is there an alternative, your thoughts are most appreciated.

W995 support folders in the file manager, but media player works a little bit different. Media player will use the info contained in the file properties (artist, album, year, etc.) so, even if you order your music in folders media player will sort them by album, artist, track, etc.

If you want to keep the same order of your folders you will have to change the information inside the file (is called metadatos in spanish but I don't know the translation).

I hope this information be useful for you.

Much obliged for getting back to me, have done some googling and visiting various forums, and it seems that I have to do it by genre and also make sure the track numbers are sequential from folder to folder, not the best way, because the folders gave information & dates relevant to me, still can't have everything, will post again I am sure until I iron out all my niggling problems, once again cheerssssssssssssssss.
