My current P1i has a QWERTZ keyboard and /51 R7A German CDA. I prefer a QWERTY keyboard. To accomplish this, apart from replacing the QWERTZ keyboard with a QWERTY one and changing the CDA to GW1 or GW2 with XS++, is there anything else I need to do?

No thats all you should need to do. Keyboard replacement and appropriate firmware needed like GW1,2,3 etc
