Yeah the Aino's camera is far from ideal, the 12mp is likley to be a lot better, maybe not so mcuh compared to a C905.

A xenon flash also makes a huge difference to imaging.

If Aino had a 12Mp camera, it would still need someone with decent skills to get the best out of it as with all cameras.
Check out what can be done with a 5Mp G900 and some real photography skills -
here. No big toes anywhere in sight!

I disagree. When you say the Aino's camera is 'far from ideal', I don't know what your definition of ideal is, but 8MP is pretty decent in this day and age for a phone. Of course it doesn't seem as great when compared with 12MP, but then if you think about it 12MP is pretty damn over the top. I would say my 5MP K850i is ideal. You could say that if you were talking about some old VGA camera. But at this moment in 2009, 8MP is totally ideal.
What would make me buy a Satio over the Anio (if picking due to camera) would be the fact that the Satio has a xenon flash. That, in my view is much more important.

I don't think you know what you're talking about. It's NOT about Megapixels. For example K800 v C902 (3.2mp v 5mp), K800i wins, why? because of a better camera hardware, higher focal length.
You are just one of those people who fell for the megapixel marketing.
PS. Phones aren't made to be best cameras, for this (surprise) buy a camera.

Only in low light situations. I prefer to take photos in good lighting, no flash needed. Why do you guys want to give your camphones such a hard time? It's like buying a Ferrari and taking it to an off-road track to see how good it is in the mud!

that's a terrible comparison, of course if the lighting conditions are great but for anything else the flash is needed, especially for camera phones with small light sensors, for photos of indoors and at night.

I would say the only bad point about Aino's camera is the lack of a xenon flash.
