I have tried everything I could think of but SEUS will not update my phone. It always says the phone is up to date. There is no option to continue or reinstall like with a w350 and w810 I've updated previously. I tried to run the updater right after I received my new w760. The updater said the phone was already up to date.
I have installed a number of different firmwares including different custom packs. Another route I tried was to use the custom upgrade xml route. I've tried the apps that generate them. Used ones I've found on the web as well. I add the file to the tpa/preset/custom. Start the phone and watch it load the xml file. Then I run SEUS and again it doesn't update the phone. All it ever says is no software is available. Your phone is already up to date.
I am looking to find a way to allow SEUS to update the phone. It seems my only option is to install firmware updates using A2.

Try flashing your phone with older firmware using A2 and then try SEUS.

This is what A2 says about the phone.
PHONE STATE: "FACTORY"
FLASH CID: 0052
OTP LOCKED:1 CID:52 PAF:1 CERT:BROWN
Model:W760i
MAPP CXC article: R3BA035 prg12023592_GENERIC_DE
MAPP CXC version: R3BA035
Language Package:AMERICA
CDA article: 1208-4014
CDA version: R3A
Default article: 1202-3605
Default version: R3BA035
Operator: 000-00
So if the cert:brown means my phone is brown what does that mean. Is there a way to make my phone not brown? It doesn't seem to change from the firmware as I've installed the oldest I can find to the newest.

Use Aerix, and "Unlock" phone.
Program, instead of unlocking, will change phone to RED.

What exactly does a brown phone mean. I tried to find information on this and it could be either a early phone with dev FS on it (doubtful). Could have been the tool used to unlock the O2 phone since I read the phone must be in "brown" to allow the unlocking. I purchased the phone in Canada but seems the phone was originally intended for Europe.
I am at work and the phone is at home so I will have to wait till tonight to try this out.

Brown has less restrictions, doesnt need signed files, and is easier to unlock phone. It is reseted to BROWN while doing an unlock. When you change back to RED then phone will be back to normal

I finally was able to try Aerix and it complains about wrong boot mode and throws this error code up "536910AF005BDA74". I tried 5, 2 and 5 and both methods cause the same error in Aerix. I searched for this and doesn't seem clear how to resolve it. I tried to switch firmware to no avail.
