hi ,
i have a new W995 with R1FA035 Frimware and Generic Russian Custom pack ,
i downgarded it from R1GA026 because I couldn't watch any youtube videos either from the apps itself or from the broswer..
in the youtube app i see only black screen and a moving slider with no sound.
and in the broswer it says - "failed to connect to a media server"
I don't know what to do, it very disappointing that a youtube support phone like W995 can't view videos from youtube..

Maybe you need to configure your streaming profiles in settings menu. Some operators may have separate settings for internet browsing and streaming...

Oh, you can definitely view Youtube on W995 alright, and it's pretty flawless with the default Youtube app. I'm pretty sure you have your streaming account messed up

The streaming settings of the access point haven't been configured properly. It's likely not a problem with your phone. I've experienced this with my C905 on some networks.

ok i tried to go to youtube via my mobile internet but now when i try to watch a video from youtube it says "connecting to a media server" for a few seconds and then it fails to load it.
but when i try to watch them with wifi
on , it confirms that the media server was loaded and starts to buffer.
after a minute a popup shows that the process failed..

Try going to vuclip.com, can stream or download vids in 3GP format from youtube.

thanks..
i tried vuclip , downloading and watching takes some time to be ready , but with Wifi it downloads pretty fast (150KBps) , and it works.
streaming of course does not work here too.. (wifi was used)
i don't understand why streaming with wifi connection does not work .. seriously no idea ..
