I'm glad to see all the Satio users on the site, but I get a very negative feeling from everyone. I wanted to buy the Satio in the near future but after reading all the issues with stability and firmware problems I'm hesitating a bit.
Is it worth it? Or will I have more problems that joy using it? The phone looks amazing no doubt, and was my first choice!
Regards Izak

I haven't got one, but there should be a firmware update in a week or so, this should hopefully iron out any bugs, but i wouldn't count on it.

You should wait some time and see how the software bugs are fixed (if they get fixed at all...). So if there is recent firmware coming these days as it's said around you don't have to wait that much. See how the new firmware performs when it comes to bugs. If there are any improvements they will be immediately listed around the forum and you can see how the other people are satisfied with the Satio. Then you may consider buying it or going for something else.

I'm definitely gonna do that, thanks strizlow. I have the W910i and the phone reboots all the time, it's very annoying. Even all the firmware updates never fixed this. Maybe it's just SE?! I was hoping Symbian + SE wiil be the fix...

Are these problems everyone's experiencing related to branded firmware? Or does it occur to debranded phones too?

They are in debranded phones as well.

I think it may take 2 waves of firmware to get rid of 99% of the issues, I also think from reading here and other forums that the unbranded devices are experiencing much less problems than the branded, some of the issues I've seen here mostly have workrounds and certaintly haven't put me off aquiring a satio, it has everything I could ever need in one package, a phone--camera--video rec--music player--game console--organiser--movie player--GPS, it is quite simply superb...................

Why am I not surprised? I have always thought that branding is crap. If everyone stopped buying them, they would soon disappear from the market.

whether you should buy satio depends on 2 things:
How much money to have to waste on fat, slow phone
How big your trouser pockets are
I dont get the point of the 12 mp camera in the satio, you can buy actual an CAMERA of better quality for less and also smaller... so whats the point.
Camera in 1 pocket , good mobile in other

The phone is pointless as phones are now getting as big as cameras...

Dude the Satio's not that big... And it's definitely not the camera that makes it bigger but rather the huge screen.
Most people want a device that can do everything! You can't walk around the city carrying everything that the Saito can replace(GPS, Laptop, iPod, Point&shoot Camera + mobile phone) Unless you walk around carrying your backpack.
The N97 is a Fat slow phone. And way overpriced!
