can somebody tell me the guide so my phone checks my emails every 30mins automaticlly and downloads them?
Im using the phones messaging to setup the smtp ETC settings but the phone wont auto connect, it waits till i physically go into the mailbox i have setup and asks me if it should retrieve the email. it worked perfect on my w995 - which would auto download the emails, something the satio is not doing.
yet im sure i have selected the correct settings !!!
im syncing it with a @sky.com account i have which i believe uses simlar software to googlegmail.

I had problems with this as well. If you're using your mobile connection make sure your default connection isn't set as wifi in Destinations. Something on the Satio has a nasty habit of changing the default connection, don't know which app it is but it has happened to me a couple of times and it is not immediately obvious.

I've managed to get Gmail to work for incoming mail but cant get it to work for outgoing which is driving me mad.
I can set mine to check every 15mins
Anyone know how to stop it notifying me of mail that I send, I have to log in to Gmail app to reply and find it ridiculous that the normal mail in messaging treats my own replies as new mail
Lol , too much vino

The email client doesn't support IMAP IDLE for GMail, so you need to check manually (or at set intervals).
The email client also seems to think that once an email is read via the web or another email client you're using (e.g. PC or Mac which supports push email) that it is in fact deleted - so mail just disappears.
RoadSync worked up to a point, but then gave errors. It may be worth looking at instead.

I long gave up on getting email on the Satio (it's not a great experience on ANY S60 phone, 3rd or 5th Edition). Nokia's new email service (with new client) is a lot better but technically you'll have to pay for that one day and it still appears to be treated like some sort of 'Google beta' trial.
The only other email client I know of is Profimail and I don't think that looks very good on a touchscreen.
