> T68 backlight problem
Bookmark topic
I've got a problem with my T68 and was wondering if anyone had experienced the same thing or had any ideas as to what it is.
The backlight comes on fine for about 2 seconds when I switch the phone on or when the backlight has been off for a while, but then it dims down and flickers. I was thinking it might be a dodgy connection, but this seems unlikely since it comes on at first.
Perhaps the backlight LED/EL sheet is breaking?
Please let me know any ideas you have!
PS Is there a way to find out the age of my phone from the service menu (>*
Thanks.

the service menu won't show the age of the phone, but it does have a joystick counter which can give you an idea of how much it's been used (assuming it hasn't been reset by flashing in the past).
the screen problem doesn't sound good

you can see the production date on the label underneath the battery... for example 02w40 (year 2002 week 40)....
can be something wrong with either the display or the displayconnector.. but I suggest you take it to a servicepoint so they can have a look at it...

I have had teh same problem with my T68i backlight, i sent it off to sonyericsson, they sent it back with software upgrade aswell, within 10 mins the backlight flickered off again

it first happend when i was using the themes in esato, then happened again after being returned when i switched to teh Thundercats Theme, now i stressed. i hope they realise they gave me a faulty product and give me a free upgrade to the P800
