The users of the Sony Ericssson Satio U1i mobile phone have been having basic problems with their mobile phone since an update to try and fix other problems. Some people can not use their phone at all and others can not use basic functions fully. We would like Sony Ericsson to make a software update which will work for ALL of the Sony Ericsson Satio mobile phone's with all regional and network branding.

Although this is a good idea that I'm behind you may want to make the petition more specific...

What needs to be fixed? Withought a list of repeatable and documented flaws to fix you won't get many people to listen, least of all the developers. How are they meant to know what you're referring to and create a firmware that you'd be happy with?

We need to get some more details into that problems thread that was started, make sure everyone has done a hard reset and reinstalled the firmware before adding any problems and then make a list for the petition of the repetable problems on multiple phones.

That's the only way they'd listen.

This complaint/request is rather broad. I think that you should be specific about the issues that you want addressed before asking for a petition to be signed. I have my satio for about a month now. I have had less issues with the telephone than I had with my p1i when it was first launched. The telephone is usable and funtional and I did not have any of the problems that were discussed in the forums. I recently uipgraded the firmware as advised by SE and apart from improved wi-fi and a speedier UI the telephone is still perfect for my needs. I do not think that SE will listen or even entertain such a broad statement as please provide a usable telephone as they already have done that.

Fair enough, point taken. Later, I will compile a list of bugs which have affected me and also others from various threads, for example, New Satio Firmware R1CA and New bugs since firmware update.

Hi, I have signed the petition.
I have written to - sort out the standby themes other than sony ericssion which do not work
- add an equalizer for music playback
I know it has been posted before to perform a 'hard reset' to solve the standby theme issue, however I believe that as an owner of the Satio I should not have to perform such tasks when these problems should not even be there in the first place.

I have yet to do a hard reset either even though I have a few problems since the upgrade. But if you don't you can tell SE will refuse to help until you have, regardless of whether we should have to or not.

Tis the way these things work unfortunately.

SE is not samsung, you don't need to waste your time with online petition for FW because anyway SE always do FW every couple of weeks
The only online petition that would have do something is asking for a theme editor made by SE instead of carbide
