Hi,
do we have any patch or mod to change the bitdepth [dpi - dots per inch] of the pics in K850i..?
It is default @ 72dpi, wheread my nokia n82's comes @ 300dpi...
why is this so..? Both are having the same resolution camera right..?
here is the file prop of n82's

and here's K850's

Check the horizondal and vertical resolution.... n82 has more dpi than K850i
as of my knowledge the more dpi the better the picture... correct me if i am worng.
PLS DONT TAKE THIS AS A JOKE..
somebody pls respond....

I haven't seen such patch. And is the camera who makes this possible I think.

Are both the pics same?

Well, i think dpi depends on your pic and the light condition, colour condition, environment. Talking about my entry to this month's camera phone competition, the dpi is 95. It is taken with K850i.

@ceaser2008
NO WAY...!!! you never get dpi 95...!!!
in the last two years experience with k850 i have never seen a dpi like this.. its fixed at 72..
and as far as i think it doesnt change acording to lighting or environmental conditions..
its a fixed kind of thing, the dpi [dots per inch]...

@bluechip

Yes. It is. I saw it when i was checking details. Now i cannot check again as i will not using any pc for next few days. You can check it by yourself. The link to the competition is given in my signature. It is on last page. Its pic of flying bird.

By the way, which camdrive are you using?

This parameter is most important in printing, when viewing the picture it is almost pointless.
In all cameras of the SE, it is limited by the module and/or MAIN to 72. I don`t know why...
Of course, maybe someone can do such patch, but it's pointless.
You can check this with any software for editing photos as PS, GIMP, etc.
They have the opportunity to change dpi. But picture will not become better.
May be there is difference between hardware and software increasing of dpi
Also the picture that you have in mind has a resolution 72dpi
