We've all got these cool mms phones and I've been trying to think of things that could be done with them, just sending simple pictures to each other seems a bit boring plus at the moment not many of my mates have the cool phones?

I was thinking things like an mms am I hot or not and cool and crazy pictures that could be sent to a website or requested on your phone. What do people think?

Sending a picture by MMS is pretty boring, my friends with Sharp GX-10 and Panasonic GD-87 are simply doing that. Taking pictures and sending them off. They are learning to edit the MMS, change the delay, add appropriate text and make a storyline etc.

If you have a PC connection then taking pictures (from Communicam or preferably a Digital Camera) and editing them onto your phone is more fun. Add some iMelody tunes and some home made animated GIFs, perhaps add a Voice Recording and it's so much more than just a picture message.

If u sign up with nowmms.com u will find more than just pics + tones sent to ur phone, have a look at the 'want some mms' thread that superunknown created. Ppl seem to like the MMS's i have made and others are great too! Pm me ur # if u want a sample, dont forget to sign up first but if ur on orange i am too so there's no need, one downside to MMS is the 30kb limit on some t68i's :-) This message was posted from a T68i

Oh! You people can send MMS and you still want that want this, why dont you think that there also someone that has a phone which can send an MMS but can not send it. That is because I use Orange and they don't provide us GPRS
See!
Now you should be happy that you still can use it (MMS), isn't it?

It seems to me that mms is just gonna be picture messaging 4 the moment, at least until a standard for sound files is established. But as mms are mime encoded there is the possibility of sending ANY file type provided it can be read by the phone (eg by a java app). This means you could send video/sound/mp3/games/anything in the future (lets jus hope the price comes down):-l This message was posted from a T68i

AMR is a listed sound format that is supported by MMS (as are JPEG, GIF and text). AMR is the format that the T68i sound recorder uses and other MMS phones such as the Panasonic GD-87 can hear your AMR sound attachments.

Currently, MMS is standardised at 30kb. Other larger MMS formats may appear later with 3G as may other supported formats such as WAV or MPEG.
