> Mobile phone prices in Philippines/Malaysia?

Hi all
MY brother is going to be in these 2 countries over the next 3 weeks.
He will be in manila and boracay in the Philippines, and kuala lumpur in malaysia.
Just wondering, what are phone prices like in these 2 countries? Are they similar to China/HK, perhaps the cheapest place for phones in Asia. Or are they more expensive.
If any one can give me some info, perhaps some websites for shops that have actual stores you can walk into, with phone prices etc etc, that would be great
Also, any one seen the
x2 on sale in these places yet?

Kita - 15000php (333usd)
