there are four lenghts of note available in the composer:

little letter - shortest
little letter with full-stop
Capital Letter
Capital Letter with full-stop - longest

they are changed by holding the relevent key down for longer. eg
hold 6 down, you get:
a a. A A.

When composing melodies with the T68 I've found that it uses the same keys and notes ast the T28. The T28 as we all know has been around for a bit longer so if you want to find good melodies look for T28 melodies and just punch them into your phone. )
