So decided to get the W995, crapy camera i know, but give priority to the simplicity of W995, Aino seems to be a complete failure according to reviews and user opinions.
And its weird forced to use slide/touch in different modes.. feel that I will only get frustrated..

Got a question about w995, is it possible to install Google Maps 3.0? Since Aino got it is it possible to download it to w995 also?
And what about the reception, lock for satellites quick? (agps activated of course) and speaking of that, hows the reception for gsm/3G?
Heard some having problems with weak 3G signals..? parhaps antenna is placed in the bottom like a few other SE phones?

Really appreciate answers

w995 comes together with google maps 3.0. gsm/3g reception is good but many factors can affect the reception quality, weather, location of reception terminal, indoor or outdoor used, subscription package etc. in normal circumstances the satellite lock is pretty quick provided the cloud is clear and no rains.

having both aino and w995 i would say both of them are perfect for me, they just work the way i want it. the only complained i've for w995 is the slider build quality, it wobble a bit but very minimal.

if you want something "extra" go for aino because it has both side features the touch screen function and the normal keypad. the build quality is excellent, the camera is amazing, the look is modern and elegant and its the latest

Ok, well would of course go for the Aino if it wouldn't been for the quality issues so many people reporting, but everything seems fine with yours? touch hasn't stopped working yet?
Btw its also too long. specially that you always(almost) need to slide it open to do simple stuff..

About gps, my n79 locks satellite indoors within like 2 sec, even if I haven't used it for a few days..(city suburb and clear sky)
Is w995 even close to the word quick when it comes to satellite lock?

So many people, so many brands/models. 995 & Aino don't differ that much.

well you asked, someone has to answer...
till to date i've no issues on both phones except the slider on my w995 and i'm saying based on hands-on experienced with my phones....i do not know about others.

btw generalizing things like "so many people reporting" doesn't reflect the whole truth, how many are reporting???? and again the decision is yours pal

I had a W995 and now an Aino
I must say the Aino is better in everything but:
-Torch light is weak while in w995 its very strong.
-Double speakers instead of one.
- A2uploader with tons of mods

Crappy camera? Thought it was good.

I don't see what the aino has that the W995 doesnt.
Bigger screen
Small part of the ui is touch screen, why the whole thing isn't touch screen, pretty pointless imo
UI slightly updated, new menu icons and better use of the larger screen, ie displays more rather than making everything really big

The W995 can be bought here for £200 quid as well. I think that's a rather good price, although I wouldn't pay that much for a phone. I may well get it when it comes down in price. I actually ask what modern day features does it lack? Apart from touch screen

One thing with aino is that Opera mini 5 works good with the touchscreen. The only downside is that is a little too small for the qwerty, at least for me.

With the Aino you get:
-Free bluetooth for earphone adapter
-Large cool screen
-Higher resolution
-Better camera (and we still don't have modded Cam drivers)
-Free desk stand
-Newer phone by 6 months so will not feel it ''has been'' in the coming weeks when SE will announce the next A3 phones
-Big Missed SMS notification on the screen closed, though they could have done the same with missed calls
-VGA recording

My Aino wobble a little on the lower left part when opened just like my ex-w995

Turn inline editing off, and use the keys. T9 + predictive input is accurate and fast. Aino touch'n'keys.
