I've had the C901 for less than a month, and although I love the phone in general (and really enjoy taking photos with it) there has been a recent problem with it that is making it unusable. At random times during the day, it will refuse to turn on. I'll take the battery out, wait 30 seconds, put it back in, and try to turn it on. The blue lights will come oon- and stay on. It does not progress further than this. Usually after taking the battery in and out about 10 times (and some random cursing) it will generally come back on, and be fully operational. Some times, it will say "Update available" which I will then apply. But it makes no difference, because at some point in the next several hours, it will revert back to being "dead."
I've googled for solutions on this, and it seems to be a sore point on some C902 models (A200 platform?) as well. Since the C901 is not that popular, I guess, there are fewer results. The suggestions all seem to be reflashing the phone's firmware, which I have done a few points over the past few days. It works, but the original problem remains.
Has anyone else had this "freezing" issue? It's extremely frustrating, and I don't think the company I bought it from is going to give me a replacement, even though it's only been a month. Looks like I should have bought an extended warranty.

I followed the A2 tutorial in the firmware section. I think my phone was either super messed up, or something went wrong, because it's supposed to take 10 minutes, and it took like 10 seconds. But whatever I did definitely changed it- maybe it just erased the last half-upgrade it failed through.
I can tell it is different though, because when I updated it last, you could set the brightness as dim as 50%, and after I did this flash, it went back to pre-update levels of only being able to dim it 60%.
After I did this I got a window pop up asking if I wanted to check for updates. I clicked no in a hurry.
2nd day, and it is still running, so I am fairly sure this is fixed. Hopefully I won't be back here in an hour replying that it's broken again!

Well, I'm writing the reply that I was dreading. It's back to being broken again. I don't think I successfully flashed it the firs time since it went so fast-
After I add the main and the fas files to A2uploader, hit flash, then connect the phone while holding C, it connects and says CID ### and something else, then just "ready." What else do I need to do? I looked everywhere for a united states / north america CID custom file but can't find one anywhere.
