With A2uploader can delete.
Open tpa > preset > system > ams and delete *.jad & *.jar files on facebook application.

To be sure it's all gone, delete files first then the folders too. Though I think you already knew that.

I don't like the fact that the new software puts a Facebook app link in your Messaging menu. Isn't one in the Applications menu enough? I'd love to remove both as I don't use Facebook either. Is there any way to be able to identify and remove the Applications and Games I don't want on the phone? I don't ever play games with the phone so would prefer to remove them and save a bit of extra space on the phones memory.

Thats exactly what I was saying, instead I would prefer the Bbc iplayer in there, so would this mean that if I could find the correct Bbc app I could put that back in. Or would it be worth installing a different firmware version that includes it.
Thanks for the support guys.

The BBC IPlayer link is in Media>TV but I don't think there's a way to move it. I just want to remove all unwanted things from my phone instead of Sony Ericsson telling me I have to keep them there because they say so. They made the phone, but I paid for it, so it's MINE and I should be allowed to lawfully do whatever I want with it.

Hmmm I am still a little confused. Have tried what you said and still had no joy, deleted all the files that you told me. Once I turned it on the link was still there.
Any idea's guys.
Would someone be able to some sort of guide?.
And thanks for all your help.
Alex.
