Can anybody assist? I purchased my T68i from Virgin Mobile. It went faulty after a few months so a replacement was arranged. When the replacement came, everything was ok. Until, when I press the slider (top left side of phone) down and go into the phone Status information, it doesn't give any info regarding battery life Is this because the replacement has not got an official battery. The original phone had.

Thanks in advance

Mine started doing that too.
And the battery indicator is staying to the maximum when the battery isn't even full!
Plus the microphone seems to stop working sometimes.

Luckily this hasn't happened for a while though.

yes mate. i've just tried mine with a third party battery, and the same thing occurs. if it was a warranty replacement by virgin they should have given you one with an original battery. get in touch with them and give them hell. it's a bit like buying a bmw and finding half the bits have been taken off of a lada.

Cheers Black Cat. I did phone Virgin and asked them. I said that I thought that they were supposed to provide a brand new phone. Apparrently not. The one they sent was a reconditioned phone. I rang the helpline and they confirmed what Virgin had said. I was pissed off at first but as long as I've got a phone that works, thats fine by me.

they may supply a reconditioned phone, but while the phone is under warranty, they should use ericsson approved parts. if you get a fault with your phone and you take it into a service centre, they could easily tell you that your warranty has been invalidated through use of non products. if you read all the booklets taht come with the phone, it says it in there. demand an original battery from virgin.

Thats what I said to . They said the only way that your warranty can be invalidated is if the IMEI sticker is removed or defaced on the back of the phone (underneath the battery). I think I might give them a ring again. Cheers me old china

It`s completely OUT OF ORDER to give you a replacement that has non standard parts on it, don`t let them get away with this.
