Its now possible to customize the firmware on 5800xm ,5530xm, N97, and N97Mini, more phones will obvisously follow:

You can now also get Custom Firmwares for 5800xm,N97 and N97Mini, for now its tweaks here and there but its a step in the right direction:

Not as far as i know, as it seems its just the firmware that is being customized not the actual OS, just like the SAMSUNG OmniaHD.
Hopefuly this will be possible on Satio eventualy.
