Hi,

I need the MTP drivers for Satio. Till now the phone was working like a charm.
I connectd W995 and since then the phone wont connect in USB mode (except PC Suite or Mass Storage).
Windows always says MTP driver required and I cannot get anywhere.

Reinstalled PC Suite, but no help.

Sometime the error comes as "Sony Ericsson 091010 MTP Device could not be installed properly". This happens on Media Transfer mode.

Any help is appreciated.

Is it only me who is facing the problem !!! Or is it that no one is so much bothered abt the problem even if they are facing. I am surprised to see this.

Anyway, trying to sort out after Googling.. will keep posted here if I find a solution for the benefit of all.

Hi there i had a problem like yours so i installed the latest pc suite from the sony ericsson site and that fixed the problem or if you dont want to do that then you can download just the drivers from here

Drivers.rar

Thanks for the information yorkiex.
I tried downloading and installing the PC Suite. It did not help. May be I will give another go and will do proper restart.

But if I want to go by the other route, how do I install the drivers and to where.
There seems to be 2 folders under Driver folder. I do not remember the names, but not sure which one to update.
Can you let me know if you know.

Since my last post back in Feb, I have been trying to fix this issue. All the suggestions you get on the internet and here did not work for me. So frustrated, I started working of my own and to my surprise I strange idea came to my mind the other day.

It seems some application is overwriting registry for Windows Media Player which controls access for MTP devices. This restricts the access. Keep this as a base, I just happen to re-install Windows Media Player 11 and bang on !! it worked like a charm.

Just thought I will share for all those who may be still facing the issue.
