has anyone been able to produce P800 compatible MP4s using DivX?

DivX is not an MPEG compression format. I'm sure the DivX guys will have a version of the Playa for symbion 7 out soon
. They already have one for the pocket PC and HPC 2000.

i know it's not a compression format for mpeg...
it's a CODEC...
DivX player allows you to play DivX encoded files...
the CODEC, however, allows you to encode MPEG-4 Simple Profile, MPEG-4 Advanced Simple Profile and H.263 video (i think)...
i just couldn't get the settings right...
it's definitely much easier with mpegable...

Hi there.... New User here. I just sat here last night trying to come up with good working settings to create MP4 for the P800. This is what I use:
Resolution: 160 X 120pixels
Bitrate: 100-150
Frames: 15~18 (depending on the size of the file).
Channel: 1 (mono)
Sample Rate:16000 Hz
Sample Depth: 16 Bit
I use the evaluation/trial version of Mpegable X4 live.
Help: If you find any software that converts avi files to mp4 please do let me know. or if anyones wants to be nice enough to find me a crack or anything for Mpegable X4 live. Personally I love that software. I have a full video of my nepwhews birthday of about 15 megs.
