Hey!
I am really confused about the whole "unlimited mobile internet" and its actual limits.
I am thinking of getting a Nokia N900, and internet would be the most important function for me but i just dont know what to expect from the O2 and other networks.
What i actually want to do is:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Watch about 1 hour 30 minutes of video from
www.watchxonline.com
( Each Day)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Browse the internet for about 2 hours ( Normal PC Websites, not the tiny mobile ones )
( Each Day )
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Use instant messaging (MSN,Skype) for the most of the day
( Each Day )
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Download MP3/Screensavers,Games,Themes,Applications of my phone
( Few times a week)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Download about 3 AVI format movies (1gb each)
( A Week )
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Use Applications/Games which require internet.
( Daily )
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Use MSN/Skype to make online calls/video chats.
( Few Times a Week )
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Could you explain if I would be OK to do all that on O2/Vodafone/T-Mobile or other networks (Pay MONTHLY, "Unlimited" Internet)
Thank you

To do all that your best off on 3UK. They offer the best in terms of giga bytes on offer and also offer free Skype too and messaging. The other networks are not really unlimited in a sense but i don't really want to go into that argument again. Check out 3UK.

My 500th post i now have over 4,000 posts

Yeah the 3 network seems to offer more in terms of unlimited than the others with internet. Though even with 3 you still might be hard pressed to download things at 1 giga byte per item. They do offer alot but even they still have limits

Suppose it would be better to use WiFi for heavy downloading, it's what most people in my country do, as we also have these "unlimited" dataplans with limits

Thanks!

3 UK do have the largest data limit, its around 1gb a month, you would never be able to do all that on any mobile data plan, you probley use about 5gb a week no network will allow you to use that much, you would be better off with proper broadband and a wifi router.

Hmmm such a shame...
Well N900 has WiFi, could i use that to connect it to my Wanadoo Livebox at home and use my PC's internet?
Why do they even bother saying its unlimited internet...
EDIT:
I found something else aswell...
