Does anyone know how to enter a phone number from your phone book into an sms on a t68i?
In options there's 'insert item' but that only has the things relevent to mms like pictures and sounds, nothing about numbers.

go to phone book> manage contact> send contact then select the contact you want to send then send via SMS.
i dont know if there is another way to add a number to an SMS, but you can just send the contact this way.

In case your still confused you can just write the message & at the point you are asked to enter a number you just joystick left, then click a couple of times then scroll to the contact you want to send to. then click the joystick.

It's one of the features I miss from Nokia, the only way is to send it as a contact/business card or try and remember the number. :-D

@pachy- i think you have misread the question, you cannot insert a number from the phone book into the text of an sms like you could with nokia/sony phones.

OH, i`m sorry guys, i did missread it, but surely you could cut & paste it, not many people are aware you can do that.
Instructions are on esato as to how to cut & paste on a t68.
As i have sold mine.
