> connection settings for wise pilot?

hi guys, just had my satio for the last 3 days now, like it a lot, (upgrade from G900), i've been messing with the settings a bit to save battery power (turned it on to gsm only etc.), the problem i have is when (trying) to use wise pilot i'm getting no/very slow connection to display maps, waited for 5 mins while it was getting maps, i got bored and gave up.
what i waht to know is does anyone know what the factory settings are to reset all connections without resetting the phone? is this the norm for the first time till it 'warms up'? have garmin mobile xt on my g900 with no probs at all. is it worth using garmin on my satio?

With gsm only it's using gprs to load the maps. Put garmin in or turn 3G on.

I heard this gps program its map is not store in the phone so it will download it and if you dont have a data plan it will cost you plenty! so becareful
i have garmin xt on it and work perfect!!
