> T39m + master reset

I got the T39 from a relative. I wanted to do a master reset but I can't cause he had changed the security code and he has also forgotten the new code he used (he just read in the manual it's good to change the four 0 but he didn't use it even once) and so the password is lost for good...
Is there any way to work around this password? (software upgrade etc...)
