> Weird malfunction in the contact list on T-68i

Yes. It finally happened... My first T-68 problem. I suddenly found out that some contacts were missing from the address book. The weird thing is that the location where the contact should be exists.... There is just an empty line. You can click it but all you end up with is a empty screen. If you click somewhere in the empty screen the phone holds up. Then when you restart it it has switched block outgoing calls on!!! And if you put the missing name in Find it goes to the right place but there just isn't anything... Went to a dealer and theyre sending it to be repaired and updated. It had R2.

doesn't really know why this happens. It occurs when having the phone upgraded to a newer firmware (or just anytime, but this is a bit more unusual). Nothing to do about it, often you can't delete these "empty lines", to get rid of them you need to sync your phone with the computer or restore the phonebook from a backup (if you have any).

I am lucky to have made a backup. So that shouldn't be a problem. I did do the copying to SIM thing and that worked. I tried to copy the address book from my comp. back to the T-68 but it wouldn't accept it for some reason. Well, now it's at the dealers and I'm out of a phone. Kinda weird and cool feeling!

I had the same problem with my phone a few months back.
If I dialled one of the numbers manually that the name was missing from, the name would be displayed on screen.
I got the firmware updated shortly afterwards to R5D007 and it did not happen again.

This happened to me once. I never knew what caused it but the remedy that worked for of it to take out the battery for several minutes. I took out mine for about 20 mins (which is probably too long) and the invisible entries appeared. I guess 3-5 minutes would do.

Yes... So this and other assorted bugs and quirks is the famous SE quality you adore and swear is the best mobile phones known to man?
I donīt get it.. Most ppl in hear seem to have raised SE and the T68(i) to almost godlike status and yet not a day go by without questions about all kinds of malfunctioning phones?! My t68 has so far:
1/ Refused to boot on several occasions, only backlight coming on.
2/Slowing down from usual molasses speed to unusable, only remedy is to reboot.
3/ On a couple of occasions when switching from screensaver to clock, instead of showing clock, just a black screen.
4/Signal #2 stutters when thereīs an incoming call, if i preview the signal, it sounds ok.
5/ I STILL think the menu is tedious compared to Nokia, some choices and parts of the menu system is brilliant though, but not as a whole.
Conclusion: Next phone most likely Siemens S55 or Nokia 6100..
Sorry SE, the t68 might have been a major step forward but iīm not willing to give it the godlike status some guys have..

Besides, comparing it to a Ferrari?? Well the only resemblence i see is M.T.B.F. (Mean time between failures
