hey got this from another forum! it works better than the 13s trick!
the 13s trick i think isn't stable settings dun work properly..
i'm having sw rd1
here's the trick when u master reset your phone you will realise the phone will have 600+kb of memory.. i manage to load 11 sony ericsson games and some pictures!
(do not enter my pictures or my sounds or your mms template) so..
1. master reset your phone..
2. use up all memory of your t300 (load games, record sounds, add your own pictures just use up everything u got)
3. enter my picture, pictures u load will display but default picture will have a cross with error msg memory full.
4. all are links to the default pictures, delete all of them(quite tedious) no link no extra memory use.
5. next go your mms template, delete all the templates
doing all this will free up a handful of memory!
but i can't delete the default themes, anyone who succeed?
my sounds i'm not so sure, but u can try with the same method as the pictures..

3. use infra or cable load your phone memory to it's max
that is you get memory full! fill your memory with games, recordings or your own pictures
4. go to my pictures
you will see pictures u loaded. default SE pictures will be blanks. when you run your cursor over them u will get memory full error.
5. delete all the error default pictures
6. do likewise to the mms template
clearer?
try it out..

If you go through Messages > Multimedia > Memory status > My pictures directly after a MR the pictures won't show either regardles of what memory you have, saves some time aswell

the trick works with rc1 which i previously had.
neon it's a safer trick than the 13 seconds reset
you can backup your personal data before doing it..

I tried this trick and it doesn't work at all... i cannot reset back to original now... lucky i back up my personal data...

i tried jun81's method step by step, and DID NOT free up any extra space, either.
my theory is that since master resetting the phone brings any deleted default pictures back, all the default pix are of course never erased off the phone.
& please be careful. you WILL lose all your personal data when you master rest.

I have a SE T300 w/T-Mobile preinstalled garbage. The 12.5/13 second trick turned off all the preinstalled pics, screensavers, etc... But even after deleting all the extra pics I still only get 587k. I have done the reset three time. It starts with 619k and goes down to around 580-590 after a few seconds. What is the most memory someone has gotten freedup using either trick. From what I have heard the FW upgrades do not solve the problem. Also I am in the US and dont want to send my phone in. I have read a post on the T68 self FW upgrade sounds interesting. If they can do it on a T68, we should be able to follow the same steps to upgrade our own T300. But please post your max memory. Thanks

total = 185 kb
my pictures took up 216 kb alone no default
my tones i have 5 poly tones and others emy tones
total my sounds=84k of my own tones
2 themes of my own =10+23=33kb
and i have a 48 kb free
my theory is that there is a master reset info is stored in a rom, memory is other set, when u reset the phone load from the rom to the memory! the default pictures are all links after u reset.. anyone who try loading their memory to max! it's a must to be max..
someone please try loading 11 games into their phone straight after a master reset? i did!
