I think Quake may be a bit too heavy for the little P800. The DOOM engine works just fine... and smoothly... if they could only re-texture it to look & work like Counterstrike... and have it playable over BT or the net...

that would rock!
Besides, looks-wise... all FPS games look alike, it's just the textures and weapons that are different. If they can get the Doom engine to send/receive the same packet data as CS, we could all play CS on the net with everyone else... albeit we'd probably lose all the time... and couldn't really hit anyone!! HAHAHA!!! But it would still be fun.

whats the puint of this game if this is true ....
quote "And It's extremely slow to load/start and the FPS is like crawling "
so i gues u will only loose space to a slow game whas the point of that ?

It's more of a Proof-of-concept rather than a practical app. The fact that it CAN run quake...no matter how slow... and the fact that it can run Doom really smoothly... means that FPS games developed for the P800 aren't far off. MIB2 is fun... but the fixed path makes it useless for internet gaming...but the 3D engine in MIB2 is very good.
Combine the texture mapping of Doom, 3D engine of MIB2, and the internet connectivity of Quake or Halflife.. and you can now make a FPS for the P800 that can easily join in internet multiplayer games!
This means that true mobile gaming is now possible. This means that I can play Counterstrike on my P800 on WON, and no one will know I'm on a P800 (other than the way I play

)
It's not a breakthrough in porting... but it does open up a lot more possibilities for online, mobile apps.
The P800 hasn't been out for more than a month... but all these apps are already out! And they're all still free!!! Can you imagine how much better the apps will be once they're all past the beta stage?
